Job Summary
The Oracle Fusion Financials Support Consultant is a key member of the post-implementation support team, responsible for providing ongoing functional and technical assistance for the Oracle Fusion Financials applications. This role focuses on resolving day-to-day user issues, troubleshooting system problems, and executing routine maintenance tasks to ensure the stability and optimal performance of the financial modules. The consultant will serve as the primary point of contact for end-users, working to resolve their inquiries and a variety of system-related challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- User Support & Incident Resolution:
- Serve as a first or second-line support contact for end-users, responding to inquiries and troubleshooting issues via a ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve functional and technical issues across all Oracle Fusion Financials modules (GL, Channel Revenue, Bill Management, Accounts Receivable, Intercompany ,Cash management).
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior consultants or Oracle Support (via Service Requests) and manage the resolution process.
- Provide clear and concise solutions or workarounds to users, ensuring they can resume their work efficiently.
- System Maintenance & Administration:
- Perform routine system administration tasks, such as managing user roles and security access, maintaining chart of accounts structures, and updating configuration settings.
- Monitor system performance and scheduled processes (e.g., close processes, reports) to ensure they run successfully.
- Assist in the testing and deployment of patches and quarterly Oracle updates, ensuring no negative impact on existing functionality.
- Maintain and update technical and functional documentation for known issues, resolutions, and system processes.
- Reporting & Development:
- Assist in the creation and modification of simple reports using standard Oracle tools (e.g., OTBI, BI Publisher) to meet ad-hoc business reporting needs.
- Perform minor data adjustments and conversions using tools like FBDI (File-Based Data Import) or ADFdi (Application Development Framework Desktop Integration) under the guidance of senior team members.
- Collaborate with the development team to test and validate fixes and enhancements.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with end-users, translating technical information into understandable terms.
- Work closely with business analysts, finance teams, and other IT departments to understand user needs and provide comprehensive solutions.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss open issues, share knowledge, and improve support processes.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in an Oracle Financials support or consulting role, with a strong preference for Oracle Fusion Cloud experience.
- Hands-on experience with providing support for at least two Oracle Fusion Financials modules (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable, or Accounts Receivable,Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Projects).
- Technical & Functional Skills:
- Solid functional knowledge of core financial processes, including Procure-to-Pay (P2P) or Order-to-Cash (O2C).
- Ability to troubleshoot functional configuration issues within Oracle Fusion Financials.
- Basic to intermediate understanding of Oracle Fusion data models and reporting tools like OTBI.
- Familiarity with creating Service Requests (SRs) with Oracle Support.
Preferred Qualifications
- Oracle Cloud Financials certifications.
- Experience with a ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
- Basic knowledge of SQL for data analysis and troubleshooting.
- Experience with other Oracle Fusion applications (e.g., SCM, HCM).
