Job Description

The Opportunity: 

Mattel APAC is seeking a Senior Planner for our Contract Manufacturing function. This position will support the new business strategy of contract manufacturing vendor sourcing, vendor management and various cost control initiatives in the Asia Pacific region.

What Your Impact Will Be: 

  • Take the lead in new vendor sourcing, assessment and management to identify the best vendor in terms of pricing, quality and production  
  • Support the merchandising activities from sourcing, costing, sampling, product development, production to delivery
  • Collaborate with global vendors and internal stakeholders to follow through the sourcing projects from concept stage to product finalization
  • Interface with stakeholders in Hong Kong, China, Asia Pacific and US with strong focus on budgeting, capabilities and schedules
  • Manage internal systems to ensure data integrity and accuracy
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects and assignments

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Degree holder in Supply Chain Management/ Procurement/ Merchandising or other related disciplines
  • At least 5 years’ experience gained in sourcing and supply chain field with project management knowledge, preferably from manufacturing industry
  • Detail oriented, independent, well organized with a proactive attitude
  • Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
  • A good team player with strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
