The UK sales team are responsible for executing Mattel's commercial strategy. In our area we develop  business plans, that ensure our clients’ growth and development in the toy industry. In addition, we always seek to be the best Business Partner and to achieve this, besides of working as a team with Logistics, Marketing and Finance we must acquire in-depth knowledge of the UK market and needs and opportunities in our retailers.

Job Description

The Opportunity:

We looking for a National Account Executive who has a passion for retail, hungry to learn, loves people & wants to be part of a highly driven team that’s accountable for the growth and development. Working across a wide and established brand portfolio including Barbie, Hot Wheels, Fisher-Price and many more your key objectives will be to achieve sales volume and revenue targets.

We’re looking for an individual who can effortlessly combine commercial acumen with data driven analytics for maximum impact. In return, this role will offer you the opportunity to further develop a career path / your skills in commercial account management.

What Your Impact Will Be:

  • Responsibility for management of key brands
  • Working closely & supporting our account managers &  sales agents
  • Present new product and ranges in customer meetings and bi-annual previews.
  • Develop key relationships with buyers, assistant buyers and stock control to chase weekly orders and influence more accurate forecasting.
  • Organise and undertake store audits to identify incremental opportunities for growth, review store compliance and competitor activity.
  • Analysis of market & customer sales data to project accurate monthly account forecast.
  • Partner with Mattel’s supply chain team to communicate availability and ensure monthly shipment targets are delivered.
  • Develop and maintain in depth knowledge of account and toy market dynamics – ‘become the product expert’
  • Facilitate the relationship between the retailer and direct import division to deliver revenue targets.
  • Assist the sales team in planning and development of strategic initiatives alongside key license partners.
  • Work with external agencies & alongside the supply chain function to project manage account  trade plans.
  • Work with an external agency to drive store compliance, utilising data to demonstrate & drive ROI.
  • Coordinate samples and documentation needed for product listings, working with the sales and sales support team
  • Undertake Promotional Analysis in order to assist and develop promotional strategy with the team.
  • Become an account champion.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Sales
  • A passion for Retail, brands and product.
  • Demonstrable commercial/sales experience with retailers
  • Digital native
  • Analytical & data driven mindset
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Ability to embrace speed and agility
  • Organised and adaptable
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to forge strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Understanding of what good looks like in an e-Commerce sales team
