The Team

Part of the EMEA Supply Chain organization, providing end to end inventory management services for our customer.

You would be part of the Local Supply Chain team, based In Amstelveen, The Netherlands.

The team consists except for the inventory analyst role of customer service coordinator(s), customer service representative(s), demand planner(s) a supervisor and a supply chain manager.

Job Description

The Opportunity: 

In your role as Inventory Analyst (Benelux and Nordics), you'll manage the inventory distribution for the market while supporting the inventory and sales targets, collaborating with the Supply Chain team to ensure on-time delivery and payment of orders and to resolve any issues in the process;

What Your Impact Will Be: 

  • Monitor physical and in-transit inventory levels across all product lines.
  • Organize and run the inventory / S&OE meetings with internal stakeholders. Highlight areas where action is required and follow up upon the agreed plans. To provide Sales and Customer Service with visibility regarding timings of order fulfillment.
  • Manage reservations and future allocation for future stock shortages.
  • Work with the local item team on timely availability for rework stock.
  • Track incoming stock for value channel and some specific customers.
  • Be the point of contact with regards to future stock replenishment.
  • Advise Sales and Marketing departments on the impact of future marketing campaigns on inventory levels.
  • Highlight potential issues to Inventory Planning Department to ensure that Sales and Marketing forecasts are achievable given current and predicted levels of inventories.
  • Make maximum use of market owned stock. 
  • Propose stock movement between warehouses to ensure maximum utilization of stock if required
  • Prioritize incoming containers into the DC to ensure maximum order fill rate
  • Support Regional Key Projects/initiatives and represent the supply chain team with regards to Inventory Management.

Major on-going complexities that the position faces on a regular basis

  • Due to the fast-paced nature you may be pressured from workload & decision-making point of view especially in peak season. Needs to be objective work based on available facts and be able to rationalize decisions.
  • Internal customers can be particularly demanding at certain periods, needs the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively to those more senior.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum education requirements of a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) preferably in a Supply Chain related field
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a job related to Inventory Management, Planning or Supply Chain.
  • English speaking / written skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload.
  • Ability to keep calm under pressure and work in a busy, fast paced environment.
  • Assertive and strong decision maker
  • Ability to understand Inventory KPI and define action plans to reach targets.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret numerical data and propose actions based on it.
  • Good understanding of the supply chain and implications.
  • Commercial acumen.
  • Exceptional computer skills esp. Excel, Tableau & AS400 preferably.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, at all levels.
  • Influencing skills.
  • Ability to find solutions and confidence to recommend solutions to potential issues.
  • Honest, fair and firm.
