The Opportunity

Join us as a Channel Sales Manager - Value Channel and step into a dynamic role at the forefront of a rapidly evolving market segment with vast growth potential. You will lead our efforts in expanding our presence within the discount retail channel, leveraging your strategic vision and leadership skills to capitalize on emerging opportunities. This role not only offers the chance to drive substantial business growth but also to mentor a dedicated team of two, ensuring their success and development in a thriving environment.

What Your Impact Will Be:

1. Strategic Sales Leadership:

  • Develop and execute innovative sales strategies tailored to the discount retail channel, driving market share expansion and revenue growth.
  • Identify and pursue new business prospects and strategic partnerships within the discounters' sector to enhance our market position.

2. Account Management Excellence:

  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key accounts within the discount retail sector, negotiating agreements to maximize profitability and market penetration.
  • Monitor account performance metrics and align strategies to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

3. Team Development and Management:

  • Lead and inspire a team of two sales professionals, fostering a collaborative environment focused on achieving ambitious goals.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to empower team members and drive their career growth.

4. Market Insight and Strategy:

  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis and competitor assessments to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks within the discounters' market.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate insights into actionable strategies that align with organizational objectives.

5. Collaborative Engagement:

  • Collaborate closely with other channel leaders to ensure alignment and synergy across all sales channels, maximizing overall company sales effectiveness
  • Partner closely with the marketing team to develop and execute integrated promotional campaigns that drive brand awareness and sales growth within the discount retail channel.
  • Partner closely with supply chain and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives and promotional campaigns.
  • Effectively communicate strategies and performance insights to internal stakeholders and senior leadership.

6. Performance Monitoring and Optimization:

  • Generate and analyze sales reports and forecasts to track performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and capitalize on growth opportunities.
  • Continuously optimize sales processes and promotional activities to drive revenue and enhance brand visibility within the discount retail channel.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; 
  • Proven track record of at least 5 years in sales, with a minimum of 2 years in channel sales focused on discount retail.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic sales plans that achieve business objectives and drive market expansion.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing a high-performing sales team.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in market analysis, sales forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a strong sense of accountability and initiative.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet business demands.
