Salary: $100,000 - $125,000

Location: Commutable Distance to Toronto 

Position Summary

The National Account Manager for Home Center is responsible for developing a collaborative relationship with Home Depot and RONA, as well as staying in close communication with buyers and key stakeholders within the account to develop creative solutions to complex selling, merchandising and supply chain challenges. This position is also accountable for supporting and implementing national sales strategies for increasing sales and profits for assigned accounts business. The National Manager will identify, create and implement a national sales strategy focused on growing existing business and gaining maximum customer satisfaction and sales growth for MasterBrand Cabinet’s Special Order and in-stock cabinetry brands. This position also manages store resets and provides strategy recommendations based upon market analysis.

 

Organizational Relationship

This position reports directly to the Director, National Sales Home Center

 

Accountabilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of account management, including administration, analytics, forecasting, fulfillment
  • Responsible for monitoring sales targets and performance of assigned National Accounts.
  • Data mine, understand Retailer inventory system settings and make replenishment recommendations that result in sales revenue for MasterBrand
  • Conduct sales tracking, analysis and recommendations for under-stocked markets to effectively place strategic orders and improve the in-stock position at affected locations
  • Identify opportunities and challenges within account base and create strategies to maximize sell through, profit, revenue, and market share
  • Develop accurate and detailed metrics to facilitate effective business forecasting and resource allocation
  • Analyze and review sales trends by store and identify opportunities and threats
  • Work with Director, National Sales to develop, implement and monitor promotional plans.
  • Leads internal development of all line review and customer meeting presentations.
  • Utilize customer POS and inventory data to effectively manage all Home Centre brands.
  • Facilitate reset planning, maintenance, and execution; successfully negotiate and implement customer driven changes
  • Oversee the development of key projects and is accountable for the successful completion of said projects. 
  • Assisting with business development projects which will evaluate, analyze, and formulate strategies for business growth.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Understand category-specific landscapes and trends.
  • Reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts.
  • Work with Director, National Sales Home Center to provide ongoing sales forecasts.
  • Develop accurate and detailed sales metrics to facilitate effective business management, daily/weekly/monthly.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% as required.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s-level degree is required.
  • 7+ years of experience in building products and/or sales background with marketing and/or channel marketing background. 
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience leveraging Power BI and ERP systems to analyze sales, inventory, and business performance data.
  • Possess or obtain intimate knowledge of products, services, distribution, customers & competitors. 
  • Strong team orientation.
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills. 
  • Ability to drive successful execution of strategic plans. 
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills. 
  • Financial planning and budget management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
