Job Description

Trouble-shooting, machine repair and preventative maintenance of automated woodworking machinery including, but not limited to, CNC, saws, conveyors, etc.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Working electrical knowledge and trouble-shooting skills, PLC programming and strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Basic welding and fabrication skills needed.
  • Material handling (pushing/lifting) up to 50 lbs.
  • Problem solving skills; ability to conduct root cause analysis in order to troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment throughout the facility.
  • Strong communication skills as well as the ability to successfully work in a team environment with a positive attitude.
  • Perform all other duties as may be assigned at management's discretion.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • This is a Mid Shift position, and the approximate start time is 3:30PM. The shift schedule is a 4 shift 10-hour schedule, Monday through Thursday, with overtime on Friday.
  • Technical Degree preferred; however, non-degreed candidates with good work tenure and 2-3 years of industrial maintenance experience will be considered.

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Mechanical and Electrical work experience.
  • Manufacturing Maintenance experience required.
  • Safety as a number on priority
  • Strong English communication skills – verbal, written & presentation, listening
  • Advanced knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems with general knowledge of electrical, VFD and PLC systems.
  • Understanding of spare part inventory process
  • Ability to work independently.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent; Technical school a plus.
  • 2 + years’ experience working as a maintenance technician Preferred.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and potentially hydraulic or pneumatic knowledge. Experience with various hand and power tools.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and work in various physical positions.
  • Ability to follow procedures, maintain accurate records, and ensure work is completed to a high standard.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other team members, supervisors, and potentially vendors.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team to accomplish maintenance goals.
  • Understanding of relevant safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to Follow Instructions: Adhering to safety guidelines and manufacturer instructions.
  • Basic Computer Skills: For record-keeping and communication purposes.
  • must be able to use trade math with drawings & use precision measuring instruments.
  • Office PC skills (Excel) and specific software (CMMS) involving technical skills knowledge preferred.
  • Working knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, solid state and PLC systems.
  • Experience with PLC control software preferred
  • Understanding of spare part inventory process preferred
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Reading electrical and pneumatic prints and diagrams
