Job Description
Reporting to a Designer & Sales Manager, a Design Assist (DA) provides administrative support to the Designer in all aspects of the selling process. DA will receive broad exposure to all processes so that within 1-2 years, they can transition into a Designer role.
Accountabilities:
- Program Design support – Position will proficiently draw and design a variety of kitchen designs using Cyncly/2020 design program. Sketch and verbal instructions will be provided by Lead Designer and Customers. From these concepts the DA will design the kitchen.
- Process work orders – Once kitchen designs are finalized and signed off by the Customer, DA will ensure all required paper work is completed accurately and as scheduled to ensure kitchen is ordered in a timely fashion.
- Internal communications to Operation Functions – During the entire “sale” process with the Customer, the DA will maintain accurate documentation which once the “sale” is made, are to be forwarded to the Operations Departments.
- Customer Communication and Support – Sit in on client meetings with periodic travel to customer job sites to review job specific plans and progress. This could include items like: site measures, quality inspections etc.
- Hostess/Switchboard relief – Supporting the Hostess function, the DA is required from time to time to cover for casual or unexpected absences.
- Other duties as assigned
- Must adhere to all company and Health & Safety policies as indicated in the Associate Handbook and Standards of Business Conduct Handbook.
Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- 1-2 years experience within Kitchen Craft or similar industry is required.
- Excellent communication skills, proficient in Excel, Outlook, and Word.
