The Production Supervisor may supervise one or more areas of the shop floor to support the manufacturing, loading and shipping of all orders to meet and exceed the customers quality and delivery expectations, while maintaining established safety and cost standards. The Production Supervisor must understand and support all plant safety procedures and ensure all operators follow Standard Operating Procedures.

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Supervisor, Production to join our team in Jasper, United States. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing production operations, ensuring quality standards, and leading a team of production employees to meet organizational goals.

  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes and improve overall efficiency
  • Monitor production metrics, analyze data, and implement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce downtime
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and processes to maintain safety standards and identify areas for improvement
  • Manage and mentor a team of production employees, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
  • Schedule production activities and adjust workforce based on workload and production requirements
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality control procedures
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices
  • Prepare and maintain accurate production reports, timesheets, and other relevant documentation
  • Coordinate with other departments to align production schedules and meet organizational objectives

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Proven experience in a production supervisory role preferred
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in basic math and data analysis
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, machinery, and equipment
  • Experience with 6-S and Lean Manufacturing principles preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Bilingual skills a plus
  • Familiarity with quality control processes and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Adaptability to changing production demands and priorities
