Job Description

We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee a team of 11 in executing critical projects and processes that drive annual cost savings and process improvement goals. In this role, you will develop and implement robust standard work practices to ensure the timely and successful delivery of initiatives such as continuous improvement projects, new product introductions, supply chain escalations, and pricing management, all while exceeding customer expectations. Anchoring all efforts in Lean principles and the MasterBrand Way toolkit, you will collaborate closely with the Strategic Sourcing team to prioritize and deliver strategies, quotes, and projects that align with supplier capabilities and market conditions. Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, you will develop solutions that balance cost, quality, and risk management to meet consumer needs. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with policies and procedures, provide high-value analytics to support decision-making, and address business priorities as identified by the Vice President of Sourcing.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a team of 11 to ensure execution of critical projects / process to deliver annual cost and process goals
  • Develop and drive robust process using standard work/written instruction around critical tasks to complete on time and meet / exceed customer expectations (CI projects, New Product Introduction, Supply escalations, Pricing management)
  • Anchor all efforts and initiatives with MasterBrand Way toolkit and Lean principles.
  • Support the Strategic Sourcing team to ensure strategies, projects, quotes, etc. are delivered on time and prioritized to best meet needs of the company given supplier capabilities and market status.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand their requirements and capabilities to develop solutions that meet the consumers’ needs by leveraging cost, service, product development, quality and risk management. Ensure data is fact-based so that internal and external vendors can utilize high value analytics to drive their decisions for performance enhancements.
  • Provide support to ensure that stakeholders, team members, and suppliers are compliant with all policies and procedures.
  • Effectively prioritize and problem solve various business needs as identified or directed by Vice President of Sourcing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in Supply Chain, Business or related field required.  MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in Sourcing, Operations, Supply Chain or a related field  
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver continuous value in a global supply chain with spend greater than $250M across multiple locations and suppliers
  • Experience with and commitment to Lean tools and principles.
  • Curious and possessing vision, Ability to balance long-term actions with short-term needs.
  • Demonstrated use of lean concepts such as 80/20, A3, VSM, and Action Plans to drive value delivery
  • Highly motivated with desire to continuously look at how to unlock value in process
  • Total cost focus incorporating all aspects of value into decision making (cost, quality, performance, risk mitigation, etc.)
  • Strong negotiation skills and comfortable interacting with internal stakeholders and suppliers at various levels / geographic locations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to develop strong knowledge of categories, including understanding of cultural, legal, and geopolitical environment in region doing business. Proven track record with successful negotiation.
  • Support development of cross-training and bench strength building within the Strategic Sourcing organization.
  • Experienced in multiple commodity categories
  • Strong MS Office skills; Power BI & Microsoft Co-Pilot a plus
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
