Maintenance Supervisor - (Night shift position)

Job Description

Position Summary:  Safely and efficiently manage the maintenance department and assist the plant engineer, while ensuring all maintenance, safety and team objectives for the Lexington, NC facility are met.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Conducts daily Maintenance meetings for all shifts including safety reviews.
  • Plans and Assigns work through the work order scheduling process in D7i.
  • Approves all hours to include overtime worked.
  • Opens and closes work orders, ensures parts are ordered in a timely manner.
  • Approves parts orders and part quantities for stock through D7i.
  • Assigns scheduled work to each maintenance member
  • Conducts weekly scheduling work order priority meeting with supervisors.
  • Supervises all daily activities of the team members.
  • Supervises the daily activities of the Parts/Store Room.
  • Conducts annual reviews with each employee.
  • Coaches team members on work, quality of work and time management.
  • Coordinates time off and shift schedules.
  • Tracks maintenance expenses through weekly expense reporting, manages the day to day expenses.
  • Back up on call person for ADT fire alarm response after business hours and weekends.
  • Serves as a primary and secondary responder for specific fire protection and emergency response duties.
  • Maintains good housekeeping in shop facilities and proper tool and supplies inventory.
  • Attends OEE meetings and is responsible for maintenance action items that arise.
  • Attends production meetings as available.
  • Primary point of contact for supervisor interaction on work request.
  • Maintains weekly and monthly all the maintenance metrics reporting charts.
  • Self motivated, organized and writes routine reports.
  • Conducts and maintains continuous improvement activities as assigned.
