Job Description

The Manager, Digital & Tech Projects leads the execution of cross-functional projects for the Digital and Technology PMO, driving projects through a phase-gate approach.  This role acts as the champion of the project process and manages the project team and stakeholders toward fulfilling the mission of each project. The position requires extensive facilitation of and collaboration with the cross-functional groups involved in defining and developing solutions.  MasterBrand primarily uses a traditional waterfall approach to project management but is also utilizing the Scrum framework supporting projects where requirements are not as well defined. 

This position is based in Cleveland, OH and is hybrid.

Responsibilities:

  • Program Management:
    • Work with the project team to plan the dependencies, resources and timelines needed to achieve project goals.
    • Lead cross functional project teams to deliver technical solutions, while ensuring cost, quality, timing, customer expectations and applicable standards are met.
  • Project Plan Management:
    • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
    • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
    • Identify and confirm resources needed for implementation
    • Manage project dependencies and highlight critical path.
    • Track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Risk Management:
    • Monitor risk with respect to constraints, timing, quality, and financial aspects of assigned projects ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are developed; ability to elevate and focus management attention when necessary
    • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crisis situations, and devise contingency plans. Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Communication and Project Control:
    • Present weekly status reports from the project team to management, highlighting critical path items, achievements, and barriers to progress.
    • Escalate issues appropriately to key leaders.

  • Must be willing to travel based upon the needs of the projects.  Travel may be around 10% throughout the year and could be up to two weeks at a time upon occasion. 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience successfully leading technical projects, preference for those within the structure and formality of a PMO.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
  • PMP certification highly desired.  Scrum Master certification also a plus.
  • Experience with project management software like MS Project, Project for the Web, Smartsheet, etc.
  • Experience with scrum tools like DevOps, Jira, etc.    
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Related experience supporting merger and acquisition within technology and integrations required.
