Job Description

The Senior Analyst of Supply Chain Finance reports to the Director of Supply Chain Finance and maintains a matrixed reporting relationship with the VP of Materials and the Director of Indirect Sourcing. The ideal candidate will drive inventory forecast development, optimize inventory forecasting processes, and perform in-depth financial analyses. This role includes strategic financial management of indirect sourcing, ensuring cost savings are accurately forecasted and reflected in site forecasts. Additionally, the Senior Analyst will lead various projects to innovate and improve supply chain operations, including software implementations and process enhancements. Participation in continuous improvement initiatives and special projects is also expected.

YOUR ROLE:

  • Financial Stewardship for Materials Management:

    • Lead the development and consolidation of corporate inventory forecasts, encompassing all facets such as physical stock, work-in-progress, goods in transit, and reserve allocations.

    • Conduct comprehensive analyses comparing actual inventory outcomes against forecasts, delivering strategic insights to both Materials and Finance departments.

    • Innovate and enhance methodologies for precise inventory forecasting and actuals comparison, integrating diverse data streams from financial and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

  • Strategic Financial Support for Indirect Sourcing:

    • Spearhead the projection and monitoring of project cost savings, effectively communicating their organizational impact.

    • Ensure the accurate reflection of indirect sourcing savings in the ongoing site-specific forecasts.

    • Facilitate the precise categorization of expenditures within our indirect spend analysis framework.

    • Confirm compliance with, and contribute to the refinement of, indirect sourcing policies across all locations.

  • Project Leadership and Innovation:

    • Engage in and lead a variety of initiatives, including the deployment of new software solutions and the enhancement of business processes, to drive continuous improvement throughout the Supply Chain organization.

    • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives throughout the operation and participate in Kaizen and Lean events where appropriate.

    • Perform other duties and participate in special projects as may be assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The individual must be able to remain in a stationary position for 90% of the time and constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. This includes typing, clicking, and writing. Frequently positions self to maintain information in drawers and shelving. The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information. Ability to read documents, emails, and computer screens, as well as see details on printed materials and presentations. Consistently works in an indoor setting. While traveling, the individual in this position needs to occasionally move about on the plant floor when going on plant tours and engage face to face with process and control owners. Occasionally moves items weighing up to fifteen pounds across plant floor for various needs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This is a remote position with the ideal candidate capable of working efficiently and independently from their home office to fulfill assigned tasks and meet deadlines. As a remote employee the candidate will need internet connectivity capable of supporting virtual communication tools that allow for collaboration with team members, attendance of meetings, and participation in company activities. The ideal candidate will be required to set up and maintain a suitable home office environment conducive to productivity. This includes having a dedicated workspace with a comfortable chair, desk, and adequate lighting. The candidate is expected to travel 30% to 40% of their time to meet with process and control owners, go on plant tours, attend conferences, etc. This travel will require overnight stays and may be multiple days in duration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a STEM field (Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, etc.).

  • 5+ years of experience in a Finance or Accounting role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Intermediate or advanced Excel skills.

  • Ability to travel 5-10% annually.

  • Intermediate or advanced Power BI skills preferred.

  • Experience interpreting data from ERP and/or MRP systems preferred.

  • Project leadership experience preferred.
