The Document Control Team Leader provides day-to-day leadership and management of the Document Control and Production Control team who play a key role in the timely delivery of aircraft to our customers. Working closely with internal stakeholders across the Maintenance Repair Organisation (MRO) and directly with the customer to support delivery of aircraft.
The Document Control Team Leader provides line management of the document control and production control team: managing performance, training and succession of the team to ensure the team has the capability and capacity to meet business and customer requirements both now and in the future. This role is responsible for driving improvement of the document control and production control processes, methods and tools.
The Document Control Team Leader is a subject matter expert and manages the document control team to:
1. Raise, control and co-ordinate Military documentation, both hard copy and electronic for RAF Hercules aircraft.
2. Ensure accuracy of Fault Reporting and Maintenance activities, accurate compilation of Aircraft Technical Log (F700) including Flight Servicing and Out of Phase Maintenance.
This is an exciting role that plays a key part in delivering aircraft in a growing part of the business.
Competent user of MoD LITS software.
Level 3 Apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or Equivalent.
Due to the nature of our business, all employment is subject to satisfactory references being obtained, attainment of either an MoD SC (Security Check), appropriate UK Criminal Record Check or Foreign Police Check (whichever is applicable depending on duration of UK residency) and, as applicable, a medical assessment. Access to US technical data by employees requires prior Trade Control function approval. Clearance must be carried out against all applicable US export control authorisations.
