Job Description

As an Aircraft Fitter you will be part of a highly motivated and skilled team carrying out maintenance, modifications and repairs to aircraft mechanical systems and aircraft structures.

You will be part of a dedicated team, assigned to specific programme of activity within the Aircraft Hangers and will be working through specific work cards and updating these as needed.  You will need to maintain progressive sign-of , whilst being aware of applicable contractual constraints, understanding what is in scope & out of scope & act accordingly.

You will be expected to meet the necessary standard of quality and within the required timescale, complying with all relevant company, regulatory & aircraft procedures (for example, Tool & FOD Control, Safe Systems of Work).

Where possible minimise waste of resource. Record bookings correctly. Work co-operatively with team members, contributing constructively and positively to team objectives.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • Considerable experience as Aircraft Fitter or equivalent trade.
  • Consistent proven application to related tasks within the Aviation Field with a strong positive attitude.
  • Understanding and experience working within regulated industry (desirable)
  • Awareness of Health and Safety, Fire and Environmental Policies.

Due to the nature of our business, all employment is subject to satisfactory references being obtained, attainment of either a SC (Security Check), Disclosure Scotland Criminal Record Check or Foreign Police Check (whichever is applicable depending on duration of UK residency) and, as applicable, a medical assessment. Access to US technical data by employees requires prior Trade Control function approval. Clearance must be carried out against all applicable US export control authorisations.
