We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced, ambitious leader to help drive forward our Advanced Composites business.
Responsible for Manufacturing, Planning, Logistics and Material Control functions, you will provide the inspirational leadership to ensure that these teams satisfy and exceed the customers' requirements while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and maintaining a safe working environment.
With extensive experience in an advanced manufacturing / engineering environment, you will provide the guidance, development and coaching needed to create and deploy a high-performing and efficient team.
The key responsibilities are:-
- To provide strong leadership to the team.
- To produce strategic and tactical operations plans that drive the business forward.
- To ensure the efficient use of overhead diversions ensuring that all costs are controlled, reported and managed.
- To continually review processes to improve production flow using lean techniques.
- To liaise with internal departments and customers where required.
- To support and inform bid proposal activity as required.
- To support the strategic goals of the business as a member of the Senior Leadership Team for Advanced Composites.
Experience / Knowledge:
Degree or equivalent in Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline.
Extensive experience as an Operations Manager from within a small-batch manufacturing environment, ideally from within a Composite Aerospace and Defence Business.
Postgraduate training or qualification in business management.
Skills / Abilities:
Able to inspire a team with enthusiasm, ambition and commitment to quality.
Able to delegate and deploy resources to ensure alignment with operational priorities.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including negotiation, presentation, training and team management.
Transparency and integrity.
