Responsible for the filing and document control of health and safety documentation to ensure that the company keeps up to date with current legislation and guidance;
Assist with the management and maintenance of the training matrix and individual training records;
Responsible for data input to various databases including HAVS database, MAWEB, KPI, and other MLS databases;
Assist in maintaining and updating SSOW and Risk Assessments database;
Assist in transferring RA and SSOW within MLS Operations onto new templates;
Keep Health and Safety Information boards up to date including Safety Pillar boards;
Assist with preparation of documentation for team meetings, recording accurate minutes and actions if required and distribute;
Supporting with other day to day health and safety administrational duties within MLS Operations and Manufacturing Support.
Previous experience in a similar administrative support position;
Knowledge and experience within a health and safety environment would be desirable, but not essential;
Must be able to demonstrate strong IT skills including MS word, Power Point, and Excel.
Proficiency in the use of web-publishing tools such as Java / HTML would be an advantage.
Proactive and motivated approach, with the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team;
Willing to learn and adaptable in line with company requirements.
Due to the nature of our business, all employment is subject to satisfactory references being obtained, attainment of either a SC (Security Check), Disclosure Scotland Criminal Record Check or Foreign Police Check (whichever is applicable depending on duration of UK residency) and, as applicable, a medical assessment. Access to US technical data by employees requires prior Trade Control function approval. Clearance must be carried out against all applicable US export control authorisations.
