About the role
There is an opportunity for an Inspection Controller to join our team and to work closely with our Operations Team to ensure that we provide our valued customers with quality products which adhere to all required standards and specifications.
This role is responsible for the safe delivery of the in-process inspection requirements within the Advanced Composites Facility, in a timely manner, and to the required quality standards. The role involves the effective management of staff and may occasionally deputise for the Quality Control and Continuous Improvement Manager in periods of absence.
The role is to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures at all times, and in line with Health and Safety requirements and to continually review the process to drive improvements.
To liaise with customer representatives and support audits from our quality approval organisations.
To ensure that all required Quality Standards are adhered against, identifing any variations to the standard and highlighting these through line management and then to support Root Cause Analysis and MRB activities.
To be responsible to ensure product is compliant and approriately certified ahead of any product release.
To highlight the best inspection techniques which provide best value for money.

Applicants should have the following:-
HNC/HND (NVQ-4) or equivalent in a role related discipline
Working knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001, EASA Part 21G, BCAR A8-21 and ideally Nadcap
Appropriate training in inspection methods (including metrology) and demonstrable experience of them.
Due to the nature of our business, all employment is subject to satisfactory references being obtained, attainment of either a SC (Security Check), Disclosure Scotland Criminal Record Check or Foreign Police Check (whichever is applicable depending on duration of UK residency) and, as applicable, a medical assessment. Access to US technical data by employees requires prior Trade Control function approval. Clearance must be carried out against all applicable US export control authorisations.
