Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Linux Administrator to join our dynamic team. As a Linux Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and maintenance of Linux systems. You will work with various Linux distributions, including RHEL and Ubuntu, ensuring the smooth operation and security of our systems.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain Linux systems.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Linux operating systems, including RHEL and Ubuntu.
  • Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect the Linux infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and optimize client’s applications and services.
  • Create and maintain system documentation, including installation procedures, configuration details, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Develop and maintain Linux shell scripts to automate system administration tasks.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Linux technologies and security practices.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Linux Administrator.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Linux system administration.
  • Capable of independently ensuring the security and hardening of Linux systems
  • Proficiency in administering RHEL and Ubuntu distributions is essential.
  • Experience with Linux scripting (e.g., Shell, Bash) for automation and system management.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security measures in Linux environments.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
