Marie Curie's Digital Marketing team is at the heart of supporter engagement, delivering intelligent, data-led campaigns that drive fundraising, awareness, and long-term supporter relationships. As part of a high-performing, collaborative team, you'll work alongside specialists across fundraising, content, design, CRM, and digital marketing to maximise the impact of one of the charity's most important communication channels 

As Email Marketing Executive, you'll help bring Marie Curie's campaigns to life across email, SMS, and WhatsApp. Every message you help create will play a part in engaging supporters, raising vital funds, increasing awareness, and helping more people access Marie Curie's services. From building campaigns and analysing performance to supporting automated journeys, you'll gain hands-on experience while making a genuine difference. 

 

Your Impact: 

  • Support the planning, build, and delivery of engaging email marketing campaigns across fundraising, campaigning, retail, and information programmes.  
  • Build and test emails within DotDigital, ensuring excellent quality, accessibility, and mobile-first design.  
  • Maintain and update the email communications calendar, helping to keep campaigns on track.  
  • Develop creative and content briefs in collaboration with creative, digital, and fundraising teams.  
  • Support SMS and WhatsApp campaign delivery as Marie Curie's owned channels continue to grow.  
  • Assist with audience segmentation, personalisation, and dynamic content to improve supporter engagement.  
  • Help build and maintain automated supporter journeys, including welcome and thank-you programmes.  
  • Analyse campaign performance, support A/B testing, and identify opportunities to improve results.  
  • Build positive relationships with stakeholders across the charity and provide support on email marketing activity. 

 

Key Requirements: 

  • Some previous experience in email marketing, digital marketing, communications, or a related field through employment, education, volunteering, or personal projects.  
  • A genuine interest in digital marketing and a desire to build a career in email marketing.  
  • Strong written communication skills with excellent attention to detail.  
  • Organised and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.  
  • Analytical mindset with a curiosity about campaign performance and optimisation.  
  • Confident working both independently and collaboratively within a team.  
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.  
  • Awareness of email marketing platforms such as DotDigital, Mailchimp, or similar systems.  
  • Understanding of GDPR, consent, or digital marketing best practice would be beneficial.

Salary: £28,274 (+ £3,500 London Weighting Allowance if applicable) 

Contract: Permanent, full-time (35h per week) 

Location:  Home-based (UK) or hybrid in London (2 days a week from our Embassy Gardens office)
