Job Description

Maricich is seeking an accomplished part-time / contract brand strategist / planner with Hispanic / multi-cultural experience to be a part of our strategic team. The brand strategist / planner will be responsible for all aspects of the strategic planning process including refinement and alignment of strategy using insight gathered from patients, health plan members, healthcare consumers, physicians, B2B purchasers and various internal and external stakeholders. An understanding of the underlying motivations of key audiences to successfully create cohesion between the client’s purpose / vision, customer wants and the creative team ideation / execution is imperative. The role involves working closely with client engagement and creative teams while overseeing, attending, synthesizing research from partners and clients and applying the information to increase the effectiveness of the brand and resulting marketing campaigns.

Qualifications

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate strategic workshops, both internally and with clients
  • Facilitate coordinated activities with agency research partners to gain insight using various research methodologies while tracking competitors and factoring in any industry specific factors, developments or policy shifts
  • Analyze and disseminate client supplied research and/or coordinate with client’s research partners in order to gain understanding of customer core needs
  • Manage the development of new research to explore additional underlying customer motivations as it relates to the brand
  • Brief creative, digital and content teams, helping to inspire solutions
  • Work closely with the account and creative leads to develop briefs, strategic plans and brand platform recommendations from a Hispanic / multicultural perspective that is complementary to and English campaign
  • Give input on transcreations and translations to ensure they are on-strategy, in creative alignment with the broader campaign and accurate
  • Evaluate database and analytics data to make recommendations to improve the effectiveness of both offline and online marketing efforts
  • Benchmark and track success metrics both to show return on investment as well as to provide a feedback loop for agency and client teams
  • Generate business and brand-building strategies and ideas
  • In conjunction with the account lead, review work and recommendations for strategic accuracy, help to present strategic work and recommendations to the client

Requirements:

  • B.A. or B.S. Degree in Business / Marketing or other complementary field
  • Minimum of 5 -7 years of experience in marketing, research or advertising
  • Healthcare agency, organization or related company experience preferred
  • At least 5 years of Hispanic / multicultural advertising or communications experience
  • Exceptional writing, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced knowledge of marketing tactics and multi-channel marketing strategy
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Skilled in PowerPoint, Word, and other complementary software
