As a Truck/Trailer Mechanic, your primary responsibilities will be:
- Complete work orders and related documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on trucks and trailers to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Work evenings, from 3:30 p.m. to midnight, Monday through Friday.
- Use diagnostic tools and technical manuals to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure repairs are completed on time. Stay up-to-date with industry standards and new technologies in the heavy-duty vehicle mechanics field.
- We offer a $2,000 signing bonus, distributed as follows: $500 after 3 months, $500 after 6 months, and $1,000 after 12 months of employment. In addition, we offer an annual $500 tool allowance to support your professional development and ensure you have the necessary equipment to excel in your role.
Qualifications
- Be knowable with heavy vehicle mechanics or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- 3 or more years of mechanical experience would be an asset
- Supply your own tools
- Knowledge of air brake systems
- Familiarity with electronic diagnostic tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Physical ability to lift heavy items and work in various positions
- Good communication skills to interact with team members and customers
- Work evenings (3:30 p.m. to midnight) Monday - Friday
