Manitoulin Transport is seeking a Class 1 licensed driver for its Wabush NL terminal. Working in a designated position, the driver will complete regional haul runs that will start in Wabush NL at noon and depart for a switch to Relais Gabriel, QC, and return to Wabush NL to complete your shift. You will be at home every day. Applicants will be working Tuesday to Saturday in this designated role.This is not a fly in fly out posistion.

The successful candidate will be entrusted with the following critical responsibilities:

1. Execute precise and timely regional haul runs between Wabush NL and Relais Gabriel, QC, adhering strictly to scheduled departure and arrival times.
2. Maintain a high level of professionalism and vigilance while operating the vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
3. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately.
4. Accurately complete and submit all required documentation, including logbooks, inspection reports
5. Demonstrate expertise in navigating challenging road conditions, particularly on Highways 389 and 500.
6. Operate forklifts when necessary, following all safety guidelines and operational procedures.
7. Maintain clear communication with dispatch and other relevant personnel regarding route status, delays, or any unforeseen circumstances.
8. Represent Manitoulin Transport with the utmost professionalism when interacting with clients, fellow drivers, and the public.
9. Remain flexible and prepared to undertake runs to Baie Comeau, QC when required by operational needs.
10. Continuously update knowledge of industry regulations and company policies to ensure full compliance in all aspects of the job.

• - Valid Class 1 Licence

• Start at $42.23 an hour + $0.20 per mile driving time
