Job Description

Manitoulin Transport Inc. is looking for future leaders to join their team. The Leadership Excellence and Development Program (LEAD) educates and trains candidates who have the potential and drive to become future leaders at Manitoulin Group of Companies. This opportunity fast tracks the development of your leadership potential and opens the door to help shape the direction of the company.

The LEAD Program is a management training program geared towards developing high potential candidates in preparation for future leadership positions. Trainees go through a series of training and mentoring sessions for a period of approximately 12 months. At the conclusion of the program, successful candidates will be offered a position within the Manitoulin Group of Companies.

Trainees perform a combination of observation, actual work experience and leadership soft skills training. Each individual will gain exposure to the different facets of the business. Training will primarily take place in Gore Bay, but some time will be spent in the field with Sales, Operations, and other business units. The program also includes external training courses specific to enhancing each trainee’s management potential.
The Program Director provides consistent feedback on the progress of each trainee for the duration of the program. Trainees who have passed the program requirements will receive a certificate of completion and may have an opportunity for a leadership role within the company.
