Mangen & Associates is an Ohio-based public school financial management firm.  Our team specializes in designing and maintaining highly effective financial and business operations for public schools and foundations dedicated to supporting public education initiatives.

Job Description

  • Complete monthly bank account reconciliations
  • Prepare annual budgets, oversight of actual transactions and provide ongoing management recommendations
  • Book receipts, expenses, accounts payable, accounts receivable and capital assets
  • Process semi-monthly payables, payrolls and payroll deductions
  • Process monthly, quarterly and annual payroll and payables reconciliations including contract reconciliations, payroll tax reconciliations and federal forms (941, 1099, and W-2)
  • Prepare monthly status reports with accurate actual and projected transactions
  • Assist with long-term financial planning
  • Report Education Management Information System (EMIS) financial and staff data
  • Assist with managing and compliance of federal, state and private grants
  • Ensure adherence to established board policies

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of cash accounting experience
  • High proficiency in office procedures, typing, filing and organizational skills
  • Knowledge and experience of computer software programs, especially Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Clean background checks (FBI and BCI)
