Job Description

Title: CICS DB2 Developer - Albany, NY - 12 Months - # K17881/150740

Location: Albany, NY

Duration: 12 Months 

 

The daily duties will include:

  • Provide support, technical advice and implementation for development projects including CICS, DB2, CICS Gateway, IBM TDS LDAP, WebSphere MQ and z/OS system upgrades. 
  • Perform enhanced implementation of various tasks as assigned, including problem determination; creation, modification, and running of utilities; automation of common tasks, etc. 
  • Provide day-to-day support of HESC's mainframe computing environment. 
  • Off-hours work and support will be required as necessary. 

Qualifications

Candidates should have at least 36 Months experience, and the following should apply:

 

Experience in  CICS doing installation and migration of system upgrades 


Experience in DB2 doing installation and migration of system upgrades in a mainframe environment 


Experience in Assembler writing and debugging system level commands including RACF exits, ISPF system-level exits, JES2 exits, and SDSF exits


Experience in MQ doing installation, migration, debugging, and application of maintenance 


Experience in ISPF/PDF 


Experience in JCL Scripting writing, running, and debugging scripts 


Experience in JES2 Commands writing, running, and debugging scripts


Experience in TSO using and writing scripts


Experience in z/OS Console Commands


Experience in IBM Data Facility Storage Management System doing system-level utilities
