Job Description
Title: Oracle PL SQL Cobol Architect - New York, NY - 12 Months - # K17941/150760
Location: New York, NY
Duration: 12 Months
Modernization, integration enhancements, and end user support for NYSIF’s worker’s compensation and disability premium analysis systems
The duties of the consulting resources would be to plan, create, modify, test and implement code in support of the following:
- Calculate the calendar year net initial deposit premiums written, using the eastern method
- Calculate the net premiums written and dividend by group, and year of issue, using the eastern method
- Reporting, at the end of each month, related to premium analysis, in-force premiums and unearned premium reserve for all insurance policies
- Feed the data warehouse with the appropriate premium fields, including, but not limited to, lifetime-to-date, year-to-date and month-to-date values for each premium component for each policy period.
The consultant will adhere to NYSIF’s application development standards, including, but not limited to, project management methodology, SDLC (software development life cycle), Enterprise Architecture standards and the IT governance process.
Qualifications
Candidates should have at least 60 Months experience, and the following should apply:
- Experience with New York State Worker’s Compensation Insurance, which includes the maintenance and end user support to rate, produce, maintain and bill policies
- Experience in DMSII in a Unisys A-Series mainframe environment
- Experience in XGEN in a Unisys A-Series mainframe environment
- Experience in SDF in a Unisys A-Series mainframe environment
- Experience in CANDE in a Unisys A-Series mainframe environment
- Experience in MARC in a Unisys A-Series mainframe environment
- Experience in ALGOL in a Unisys A-Series mainframe environment
- Experience in COBOL74 in a Unisys A-Series mainframe environment
- Experience in COMS in a Unisys A-Series mainframe environment
- Experience in Oracle development
- Experience in PL/SQL development
- Experience in XSLT development
- Experience in XML development
- Experience with Innotas project portfolio management
- Experience with Blueprint requirements definition and management platform
- Experience with HP Quality Center
