Job Description

Mae’s Strategic Marketing Manager will report to the VP of Marketing, primarily focused on data-driven growth marketing to increase user awareness, acquisition, and retention. The ideal candidate is analytics-focused, has proficient knowledge of social media platforms and their advertising capabilities, an understanding of content mapping, and SEO knowledge to optimize search engine performance.

This role will work in close partnership with our Head of Product to impact the utilization and trajectory of Mae’s platform.  This is a unique opportunity to become an early member of a venture-backed digital health start-up on a mission to reduce maternal health disparities and redefine the pregnancy experience for Black expectant mothers.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Setting and delivering on growth KPIs including but not exclusive to user acquisition, conversion, and retention
  • Executing strategic content and advertising initiatives to efficiently reach and convert prospective users
  • Owning social and omnichannel advertising performance, advancing against goals set each week, month, and quarter
  • Managing social media and content calendars across various channels 
  • Contributing to the development of content for social media, email, blog, and web to maximize and align with acquisition and retention goals  
  • Establishing, managing, and executing email strategy for increased user engagement
  • Collaborating with Mae’s product and engineering team to improve user experience 
  • Aligning Mae’s social media and community engagement efforts to identify consumer habits, manage community conversations, and convert users
  • Owning SEO optimization (technical and content) for SAAS products
  • Analyzing CPA to optimize cross-channel marketing investments 

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience with user acquisition and growth marketing management, ideally in the launch phase of high-growth products and SAAS (healthcare a plus) 
  • Comfort with content creation and advertising on social media platforms including but not exclusive to TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram
  • Experience with managing social and content calendars with tools like Loomly
  • Extensive understanding of social media advertising platforms and best practices
  • Proficient in social graphic design and video content development, including the ability to create carousel graphics and reels 
  • A depth of understanding - or proven aptitude to quickly learn - behavioral habits and engagement patterns of target audience
  • Ability to identify key social spaces where target users are engaging, and organically and seamlessly integrate Mae’s brand message to drive awareness
  • Ability to collect and interpret both qualitative and quantitative data to drive marketing, content, and advertising decisions
  • Creative, resourceful, and scrappy approach to reach, acquire and retain users
  • Ability to provide creative direction and manage vendor relationships  
  • Research and market analysis-driven and solution-oriented
  • Proficient in SEO optimization with a desire to increase knowledge through virtual coursework 
  • Entrepreneurial enthusiasm, reliable work ethic, and collaborative approach to working and learning
