Madelife is a launchpad for artists and entrepreneurs.  We create customized education programs founded on mentorship, collaboration and continuous iteration. Our mission is to support and promote artists and creative entrepreneurs out of our studio in Boulder, Colorado. Our unique private mentorship-based program allows for any creative to get exactly what they need out of their education. In addition to our creative accelerator program, we curate fine art from local artists, produce live events and workshops, and record and produce video and music projects. Our goal is to help people be successful in their financial and creative pursuits all while honoring the uniqueness of our students as individuals.

Job Description

Responsible for managing our Creative Accelerator Programs and executing administrative projects.  This position reports to Madelife’s Creative Director.

 

PROGRAM MANAGER - Internal clients (AIM, Evolve, BIH), external clients (Boulder and national community)

  • First point of contact for program setup 

  • Scheduling mentors and students weekly 

  • Program check-in and tracking with each student weekly. Adjusting Programs to the needs of Accelerants

  • Approval of mentor invoices

 

RECRUITING MENTORS

  • Recruiting new mentors who are aligned with Madelife’s mission and have appropriate experience (should be currently active in their field and comfortable mentoring young adults)

  • Searching for new mentors on a per need basis for diverse areas of study such as music, photography, design, film and video, writing, acting, illustration and beyond.  Hiring happens in collaboration with our Creative Director

 

ONLINE CONTENT BUILDING

  • Researching and subscribing (if a service adds value) to various online learning platforms to provide supplemental instructional content for students.  This could include curating YouTube playlists or any other type of online learning.

  • Writing and commissioning the writing of Madelife original content such as basic technical skill training for various areas of study within the arts plus project management of that content.

 

ADMINISTRATIVE  

  • Organizing student, mentor and staff scheduling 

  • Oversight and execution of tasks relevant to programs such as grant proposals, accreditation applications and more 

  • Managing office accounts (Google, trash, security, electric, internet) 

  • Weekly staff meetings for general communication and planning 

  • On-site manager, available as a resource to staff and students, and keeping spaces open, clean and supervised

Qualifications

Must have relevant previous experience with the creation and implementation of educational programming and working with young adults.  Must be comfortable working in Google Suite and familiar with project management platforms (we currently use Monday).  The ideal candidate should be very organized and self directed.  

Additional Information

Please reply with a resume and short cover letter if you are a good fit for this position.  MUST be local to Boulder Colorado or the surrounding area.  Compensation is $30/hr.  This position is part-time and starts at 20-25 hours per week.  There is a potential for more hours to be added over time.
