Job Description

Petrol/Diesel Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy duty vehicles. He will be responsible for troubleshooting issues and fixing them aiming at achieving the maximum reliability and functionality.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Report all incidents relating to H&S to line management 

Follow safety instructions and report any issues with them Complete and implement STOP 

Visual/written inspection of tools and equipment prior to use Ensure high standards of house keeping throughout their work area 

Assist in preparation of requisitions of jobs given

Carry out weekly preparation of all fleet items based in their location 

Carry out any reasonable request given to them

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years in the workplace 
Industrial production facilities experience, preferred within the construction industry
Recognized qualification in automotive petrol engine mechanics
Good oral & written English Language
Experience in diesel engine mechanics
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
Fault finding and diagnosis of Light & Commercial vehicles
Ability to operate fixed and hand power tools required for their role
Self-reliant, honest and responsible
