Senior Business Analyst

Reporting to the Director, PMO, the Senior Business Analyst position is a pivotal role in the delivery of high quality services to our customers.  The Senior Business Analyst works under general direction and is responsible for combining advanced analytical skills with tactical leadership skills to contribute to the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of all work completed under their guidance.

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst who will be the vital link between our information technology capacity and our business objectives by supporting and ensuring the successful completion of analytical, building, testing and deployment tasks of our software product’s features.

The successful candidate has been a product owner in an agile process, is great at communicating with developers, testers and designers, is detail-oriented and loves digging into requirements to understand what the requirements are and delivering them in a demonstrable way.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with clients to gather, understand and define business requirements

• Own and develop a relationship with clients, working with them to optimize and enhance our integration

• Convert business requirements into development user stories, ensuring clear acceptance criteria are defined and understood by the delivery team

• Be aware of common sources of technical issues and questions, and make recommendations to the project team

• Communicate key insights and findings to the project team

• Work closely with the project team to ensure requirements are understood and questions are answered

• Maintain the project requirement backlog ensuring complete coverage and prioritization of requirements

• Help in release planning by identifying gaps and dependencies amongst requirements

• Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve the monitoring and discovery of issues and deliver better value to the customer

• Maintain a Quality mindset and contribute to regular reviews of project team deliverables

• Assist with UAT testing

• 7+ years experience in Business / Systems Analysis

• A degree in IT / Computer Science

• Proven experience in eliciting and documenting requirements

• Experience working on Software Development projects

• Experience in analysing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools

• Knowledge in generating clear and concise process documentation

• Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills

• Ability to travel
