Job Description

Senior UX Researcher - Contract


Applies focused analytical skills to lead and conduct research relevant to the organization’s business goals or mandate. Develops research plans; collects and/or sources relevant literature and data; synthesizes, analyzes and interprets information; and prepares reports and recommendations based on findings. Collaborates with Interaction Designers or Graphic Designers on an as needed basis to ensure that the presentations of findings are communicated clearly in a form that is tailored to the needs of its audience. Will work closely with Interaction Designers and other Researchers throughout the research and design phases of projects. May provide input to the direction of publications, products or initiatives based on research findings.

  • Ability to analyze client requirements and/or identify technical solutions.

  • Analyzes and resolves large and complex problems and determine appropriate course of action.

  • Writes articles or speaks on specific case studies in this field.

  • Delivers training to clients

  • Mentors junior employees.

  • Solves abstract or vague research and/or usability design problems.

  • Able to evolve current user model in light of the Business vision and Business requirements.

  • Gauges the usability of new and legacy client products, and makes constructive suggestions for change.

  • Application of user-centered design and HCI principles.

  • Definition of quantitative critical success factors for a project that reflect the expected business value.

  • Undergraduate degree in related field of study;

  • 6-9 years of related experience.
