Job Description

The Optical Power Network Engineer is required to;

1: Implement and deliver the optical network DWDM/SDH/MSTP equipment engineering project. As a technical expert or technical engineer, support the project delivery, solve the technical problems of various transmission products in the project delivery, and complete the engineering implementation and delivery.

2: The fault analysis of the optical network DWDM/SDH/MSTP product is used as a technical expert to support the routine maintenance, fault location, troubleshooting, and network optimization of the DWDM/SDH/MSTP network, thus improving the network performance.

3: Write and review technical documents of WDM/SDH/MSTP products, provide training courses for other technical support engineers, and transfer product technical knowledge and skills.

Qualifications

1: Graduate from communications, computer, optoelectronics, and other related majors:

Have more than 5 years of industry experience, experience in engineering and maintenance of long-haul backbone WDM networks, experience in 40G/100G network engineering and maintenance, and familiarity with competitors' equipment is preferred.

2: Have a deep understanding of WDM/SDH principles and have a good command of basic optical transmission knowledge, such as optical fiber cables, OSNR, dispersion, and PMD.

3: Have a deep understanding of the basic principles of Ethernet. Have a good command of the principles and networking schemes of VLAN, MPLS, Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching. Have a basic command of the principles of optical network ASON. Have a good command of the networking schemes and O&M technologies of ASON networks.

4: Have a good command of the use of common instruments such as the spectrum analyzer and Ethernet tester.

5: Good English, able to communicate with local employees in English, and adapt to long-term overseas life.
