Cradle Mountain Hotel is nestled in the alpine woodlands at the northern end of the breathtaking Cradle Mountain – Lake St Clair National Park. This wonderful escape showcases the absolute best this region has to offer with warm and welcoming hospitality, sensational local food and wine, indulgent spa facilities and breathtaking scenery. Located approximately two hours from Launceston and four hours from Hobart, our 60 room hotel also incorporates the award-winning Altitude restaurant and stunning Cradle Mountain Wilderness Gallery.

Job Description

  • Help create unforgettable holiday memories, ensuring guests enjoy a clean, comfortable and welcoming home away from home.
  • Staff accommodation available, making it easy to live and work in an iconic wilderness location. Our staff accommodation offers a shared room and shared bed with your travel partner
  • Multiple casual positions available, with staggered start dates over the coming months as we gear up for the busy summer season.

We're looking for enthusiastic Housekeeping Attendants to join our team. We also welcome applications from couples looking to work together and share the adventure. Please note that Cradle Mountain Hotel is not located in an eligible area for Working Holiday Maker (WHM) visa extension days.

You'll thrive in this role if you're a reliable team player with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Ideally, you'll be available to stay with us for at least six months, helping us deliver exceptional guest experiences throughout the season.

What you’ll do:

As part of our Housekeeping team, you'll help create exceptional guest experiences by ensuring our accommodation and public areas are clean, welcoming and presented to a consistently high standard. This is a physically active role, best suited to someone with a positive attitude, strong attention to detail and a willingness to get stuck in. On a typical day, you'll:

  • Clean and service accommodation and public areas to the highest standards
  • Change linen, replenish guest amenities and maintain room presentation
  • Identify and report maintenance issues or missing items
  • Work collaboratively with the team while confidently managing your own daily tasks
  • Help create a positive experience for guests through your friendly and professional approach

What you’ll bring:  

  • A passion for delivering great customer service and creating positive guest experiences
  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently
  • A positive, reliable and team-oriented attitude
  • Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays
  • A good level of fitness and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks
