What You’ll Do 

At the NRMA, our brand is a promise to our members, employees and communities. As Senior Brand Communications Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in protecting, evolving and bringing that promise to life. 

This role sits within our Brand & Creative team and is responsible for shaping and delivering standout brand communications, campaigns and experiences that build trust, connection and loyalty across the NRMA Group. You’ll move comfortably between strategy and execution, translating insight into powerful storytelling across paid, owned, earned and shared channels.

This role is a 12-month maximum term contract (parental leave cover) offering a hybrid structure where you will be required to work across our Sydney CBD and Sydney Olympic Park offices as well as some work from home.   

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Lead the development and delivery of integrated brand and communications activities that build brand equity internally and externally 
  • Support the GM Brand & Reputation and Head of Brand & Creative on large‑scale NRMA Group campaigns, leading the communications efforts and contributing to the end‑to‑end delivery of campaigns aligned to the brand strategy  
  • Along with the Sponsorships & Activations Co-ordinator, own and deliver the Members First events program and other NRMA events including Community, Reconciliation and Executive events, ensuring high‑quality execution and achievement of business objectives 
  • Develop strategic, insight-led creative briefs and lead the planning, production and delivery of brand communications to amplify brand storytelling  
  • Manage brand projects and business‑as‑usual activity across the NRMA Group, building strong cross‑functional relationships and managing agencies and suppliers to budget, timelines and performance expectations  
  • Provide leadership and support to a direct report, while overseeing core brand operations including the digital asset management platform and editorial meetings bringing together key communicators from across the Group 
  • Reporting on campaign, communications and events performance. 

What You'll Bring 

You’re an experienced brand leader who brings strategic rigour, creative judgement and operational excellence, with a strong ability to translate brand strategy and insights into compelling stories and campaigns.  You will have: 

  • A tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing or a related discipline 
  • 5–7 years’ experience in a senior brand, communications or integrated marketing role 
  • Proven experience delivering end‑to‑end brand campaigns, communication programs and brand engagement strategies that drive both brand and business outcomes 
  • Proven expertise in brand stewardship with strong project management skills and excellent attention to detail 
  • A skilled storyteller, with the ability to think strategically and creatively to bring brand narratives to life across paid, owned, earned and shared channels 
  • The ability to develop clear, inspiring creative briefs and confidently articulate creative thinking, rationale and direction to senior stakeholders 
  • Experience managing agencies and working across multiple internal teams 
  • Proven ability to establish, manage, maximise and integrate sponsorships, activations and/or events as part of a broader brand and communications strategy 
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience with a focus on coaching and development 
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
