NRMA Darlington Beach Holiday Resort is a sprawling Resort, on 110 acres of beachside rainforest.  It is located just 30-minutes north of the subtropical city of Coffs Harbour on the Mid North Coast of NSW.  The Resort offers a large range of camp/caravan sites and accommodation options, from Villa’s, to Glamping Tents.  Nestled right on the beach, we offer a multitude of facilities for the young and young at heart; a water park, resort style pools, lawn bowls, archery, nine holes of golf and a licenced on-site bistro.  This is a pet friendly park that also offers a daily mingle with the free roaming Kangaroos

Job Description

What you will do:

Report to and assist the Resorts General Manager you will assist to operate a profitable and sustainable resort business, maximising a return on capital investment, whilst ensuring a consistent and amazing guest experience. Please note, that this is a live onsite position and a residence is available at subsidised rent as part of the management agreement.

You will also:

  • Provide a versatile and hands-on approach in supporting your department heads to ensuring quality standards, effective communication and consistency across all areas of the resorts operation
  • Maintain leadership credibility in all areas of the park operation by exhibiting consistent high standards of personal ethics
  • Assist in ensuring teams are resourced accordingly and participating in recruitment activity as needed
  • Ensure that all employees receive a thorough park and department induction and sufficient on the job training
  • Liaise with the General Manager regarding significant maintenance issues, repairs and additional projects
  • Monitor and maintain a high standard of safety of all guests, visitors and employees

What you will bring:

  • You will be able to demonstrate experience in leading or overseeing teams and driving a positive team and guest focused culture
  • You will have previous experience as an Operations Manager, Hotel/Resort or Park Assistant Manager/Manager, or Head of Department in a large property
  • An ability to understand employment awards
  • You will demonstrate a flexible attitude to work and the passion to work as part of an operational team who are hands on, confident and have a passion for delivering outstanding guest service
  • You walk the talk and can communicate to team members, guests and stakeholders of all levels.
  • Previous experience in food and beverage, or events based related management is a bonus
