As the NRMA’s Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst, you will play pivotal role in helping guide and support the wider Roadside business, working with various stakeholders to translate complex data into actionable insights to help shape strategic and operational decisions.

Your main focus will be to ensure continuous growth, optimisation and adaptation through data insights and ongoing support of KPI tracking. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing our operational efficiency, customer satisfaction and driving strategic decisions through effective stakeholder partnership. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as a 2IC to our Data Manager, helping to influence strategic and operational decision making
  • Effectively engage with stakeholders to understand goals and priorities within the Roadside business
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable insights
  • Develop and maintain robust BI solutions to support data-driven decision-making processes
  • Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement
  • Design and implement effective reporting tools and dashboards for various stakeholders
  • Provide strategic recommendations based on data analysis to support business objectives
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in business intelligence and analytics
  • Manage the reporting lifecycle from requirements gathering to translation, design, build, test, visualization, deployment, and documentation
  • Effectively coaching, mentoring and training BI team colleagues

Qualifications

  • Strong strategic stakeholder engagement and management skills with highly developed planning and organisation skills
  • Strong analytical, business acumen, problem-solving skills and a sharp eye for detail
  • Ability to think broadly and critically about a problem and apply business and commercial acumen to develop a solution
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to story tell with data to influence stakeholders
  • Strive for excellence and focused on outcomes, always keeping the customers in mind
  • A self-starter that takes initiative, who works well in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience dealing with large and complex data sets
  • Hands-on experience with GCP, Google Tag Manager, GA, Github
  • Tertiary-related qualification in computer science, statistics, marketing, or IT-related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an analyst role responsible for reporting, and analysis
