Job Description
We currently have 2 x 12 month maximum term contract roles available for a mid-level experienced UX Designer to join our Customer Strategy & Experience Design team within the NRMA's Membership business.
In this role you will collaborate with the design team and cross-functional stakeholders to create engaging interactions, intuitive and visually appealing digital experiences across web and app. You will work on end-to-end UX design and take ownership across design functionality from research to delivery.
We offer hybrid work arrangements with the opportunity for you to work from our Sydney Olympic Park or Sydney CBD office and from home, as agreed and required for this role.
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the user-centred design process and design thinking methodologies to define solutions based on a deep understanding of customer needs, pain points, and behaviours
- Define the user experience, interactions through user flows, information architecture, sketches, wireframes, prototypes, and visual design
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and evaluate user problems and business needs and translate into requirements
- Create wireframes and interactive prototypes for user testing and iterate on solutions based on user feedback
- Design and conduct qualitative user research, interviews, and usability testing, synthesise insights to inform design decisions
- Communicate the user experience through research insights, personas, customer journey maps, storyboards, mock-ups and prototypes
- Contribute to the design system and help maintain brand consistency
- Collaborate with developers to ensure technical capability and communicate design specifications and resolve implementation issues
- Ability to lead multiple projects across the product lifecycle, from discovery to implementation.
About you
- Mid-level (eg 5+ years’) experience in a UI or UX design role or similar
- Knowledge and experience in Human Centred Design / Design Thinking methodologies
- Experience in design systems, accessibility standards, and responsive design
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, Photoshop or similar
- Portfolio that showcases examples of design
- Experience designing for native mobile apps
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present design solutions effectively
- Experience working in Agile development teams
