Job Description

As the People Operations (HR) Analyst, you will be at the forefront of driving operational excellence in the People Ops department of MX. Using world-class tools and systems (like Workday and Google Suite), you will champion process improvement, data cleanliness, employee and manager self-service, regulatory compliance, and consistency in policy application. You will be the company expert in managing employment processes like leaves of absence, visas, and employment verification. This is a great opportunity for someone who can keep momentum on the day-to-day processes while also working on multiple short- and long-term projects.

What you’ll get to do…

  • Consistently work towards iterative quality and efficiency improvements to People processes, tasks, tools, and other back-end procedures to achieve operational excellence

  • Drive consistency in the execution of People tasks and application of policy across the company

  • Ensure ongoing compliance in employment-related processes, including (but not limited to) E-Verify/I-9, visa sponsorship, leaves of absence, reporting, and benefits administration

  • Champion data cleanliness of personnel records in HR system of record (Workday)

  • Provide frontline support to MX team members and leaders in performing People tasks 

  • Serve as Leave of Absence subject matter expert regarding policies, vendor relations, and supervision of accurate policy application

  • Regularly manage People tasks in Workday and support end users (MX team members) with troubleshooting

  • Champion employee and manager self-service offerings via company intranet (MX Hub), Workday, and other People platforms

  • Leverage data from engagement surveys, exit surveys, and overall awareness to identify areas of weakness and build solutions

  • Lead and/or participate in the many People projects that arise in a rapidly growing company


You’ll do it using your…

  • Great working knowledge of key employment processes and at least 1 year experience in owning E-Verify/I-9, visa sponsorship, leaves of absence process  (FMLA, short-term disability, etc.)

  • Heavy bias for process improvement, automation, and simplification

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data for inconsistencies, errors, or trends

  • Ability to handle a rotating load of multiple projects, while also maintaining excellence and accuracy in day-to-day operations

  • Above average spreadsheet skills (pivot tables, vlookup, nested formulas)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Capacity to deliver quality results in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment

  • Knack for using systems and technology (experience with Workday a huge plus)

  • Competence in the workings of benefit plans: medical, dental, vision, and insurance (strongly preferred)

  • Certified expertise in the field of Human Resources (big plus)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Management (big plus)
