MX is well-positioned in the financial technology space as an award-winning provider of financial management and online and mobile banking tools.  We are seeking a Product Data Analyst to help us maintain and continuously improve our industry data enhancement engine.

Job Description


  • Monitor system performance and calculate success metrics, looking for opportunities to make improvements along the way.

  • Work with Product Management and Engineering to define, scope, and create new features to improve the classification & categorization engine.

  • Manage quality improvement process and ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner.

  • Research merchants and locations to augment system coverage.

  • BS (Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar) or BA (Psychology, Philosophy, Linguistics, or similar)

  • Prior work experience in data analytics or related field

  • Strong experience with SQL

  • A lifelong love of learning

  • A serious passion for working with data & comfort with its inherent messiness

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency with data analysis functions in Excel

Preferred, but not required:

  • Experience with probability theory & statistical analytics

  • Experience with Postgres

  • Familiarity with Ruby

  • Familiarity with BI and/or visualization tools


  • Familiarity with or a desire to learn about Financial Markets, Investment Data, and Wealth Management
