MX is searching for a Communications Director to amplify our mission, awareness and build brand love through creative communications initiatives and impactful storytelling.
The ideal candidate has a deep background in content PR, a passion for media relations and strong relationships across the financial and business press. You must be an exceptional storyteller, a creative & brilliant writer with the ability to align to the MX voice and tone, and a strong executor with meticulous planning and execution skills.

Be an excellent writer: Every sentence reflects the MX brand. Attention to detail is very important. You must have high editorial standards and strong copywriting skills
Use your ability to develop a communications strategy & plan for MX , as well as develop the appropriate narrative AND the detail messaging.
Be Creative! Our communications plans should be able to break through the media clutter and be appealing to our media audiences, while staying true to the MX brand.
Use your deep understanding of the media landscape and how to establish and nurture relationships with key journalists, bloggers and influencers.
Be a project manager. Your Ability to define an effective plan AND execute that plan.
Use your experience with the financial industry and with software companies would be a major advantage.
You’ll do it using…
Developing communications strategies that support our brand awareness, pipeline, & revenue goals.
Owning our communications strategy and execution, including building key media / reporter relationships, as well as important industry analysts and analyst firms
Developing breakthrough press plans and a roadmap that anticipates the variety of topics we wish to communicate
Developing and owning the MX and MX Executive Team media, speaking and thought leadership program. You will collaborate with the key stakeholders, but are explicitly responsible for developing both the ideas and the creation of the content.
Driving strategy and programs that bring credible 3rd party and voices into our overall comms efforts.
Leading organic social media planning and partner with paid marketing to determine how best to leverage emerging platforms.
You’ll do it using…
Your 10 years experience in communications and/or public relations, including a track record of getting media to engage.
Your strong strategic thinking skills who can craft and convey a great MX story
Your experience working with demanding senior executives
Driven, self-starter who thrives on owning comms and driving big results
