Job Description

MX is well positioned in the financial technology space as an award-winning provider of financial management and online and mobile banking tools. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to help us build and manage our conference schedule throughout the year.

What you’ll do…

  • Manage conference schedules and logistical preparation for off-site conferences and marketing events, including up to 10 major events and potential for 10 regional events per year.

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and the MX Executive Team to drive successful conference strategy, planning and execution.

  • Coordinating event entertainment, including dinners, music, performers, and guest speakers.

  • Oversee coordination surrounding travel for company representatives to conferences, materials needed onsite, rental equipment, etc.

  • Oversee pre-conference attendee prep, post-conference evaluation, sponsorship, and speaking opportunities.

  • Manage and build relationships with other event managers, vendors, and partners/clients of MX.

  • Evaluate events and incorporate improvement in future planning.

  • Willingness to travel to 4-5 events per year in North America.

You’ll do it using…

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in event management/planning.

  • Excellent general verbal & written communication skills, negotiation skills and ability to work with a variety of work/personality types.

  • Detail oriented, ability to manage multiple priorities, and experience working in team-based or collaborative settings.

  • Ability to manage time and resources for large-scale projects involving many stakeholders

  • Ability to work independently and under strict deadlines.

  • Established vendor relationships is beneficial but not required.
