Job Description

MX is looking to add a business operations analyst to operations team. You will work within management using our business applications and BI platform (Domo) to (i) build process, system automation and reporting, and (ii) support management in critical business decision making and strategy.

You’ll get to...

  • Define, design, build, and audit key performance indicators (KPIs), performance metrics, and/or other reporting needs as requested by internal stakeholders

  • Provide consultation to internal stakeholders to aid in data collection, data systems, and systematic processes to ensure data management and integrity

  • Audit data integrity and work with internal data owners to correct data and/or process and/or eliminate unmanaged data fields in the respective systems of record

  • Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis with the use of mySQL and MS Excel

  • Be (or become) an expert in business operations, BI, Analytics and the company go-to for operations and performance questions

  • Champion and proliferate current data architecture best practices, naming conventions, and table structures

You’ll do it by using your...

  • Bachelor's degree or similar experience in business management, information systems, software engineering, or finance

  • Ability to distill complex information into easily consumable reports, statements and communications that provides insights, enabling quick decision making

  • Hands-on experience in business intelligence, reporting, and analytics, with experience in creating complex algorithms, formulas, and calculations

  • Expertise in SQL, MS Excel and PowerPoint required. Experience in Python, R, VBA or other scripting language a plus. Notable experience and expertise in Domo a huge plus

  • Strong ability to manage multiple stakeholder expectations, timelines, and deliverables

  • Expertise in design and development of automated reports, dashboards a plus

  • Strong analytic acumen and a deep understanding of how relational tables interact

  • Enjoy working with data, inclusive of a keen attention to detail, data discrepancies, down-stream dependencies, etc.

  • Creativity and a passion for data visualization and aesthetic appreciation
