Our Sales Department is in search of a Director of Sales to collaborate with sales leadership; lead, develop, and coach sales account executives, ensuring success for the enterprise team. We are seeking for a professional sales leader (Director of Sales) to lead a team of professional sales executives in our U.S. market, reporting to the Executive Vice President of Sales for MX.  This sales team will be structured across 6-8 sellers, all of whom will report to you if you are selected. This position is responsible for driving $10M+ in new sales annually (we sell multi year subscriptions). 


What you’ll do:  

  • Lead, Develop, and Coach enterprise account executives

  • Execute against targets for assigned territory by hiring and managing elite performing account executives

  • Successfully manage account executives which  involves ramping, training, day-to-day management, driving continual progress for each individual on your team

  • Manage regional planning of pipeline and quota to hit and exceed targets

  • Collaborate with sales leadership to develop territories/sales quotas  

  • Build and maintain business relationships with clients and partners

  • Work with other MX departments to promote customer needs

  • General leadership, cultural steward and maturity as managerial representative of MX

  • Assist in developing negotiation strategies and providing assistance to sales teams negotiating complex and large sales contracts

  • Successfully manage a short, mid and long-term strategic sales plan to ensure growth is in line with business objectives

  • Provide timely feedback to sales peers, sales leadership, product management and marketing on developing industry trends, new product ideas, and competitive intelligence

  • Review, monitor, and approve monthly expenses to budget

  • Work closely on a quarterly basis with the Executive Vice President of Sales and Director of Sales Operations in compiling sales reports, marketing/customer trends, and competitor information for critical Senior Executive Review sessions


How you'll do it:

  • Able to articulate MX’s value proposition, insights, and engage customers in jointly addressing business priorities and objectives that align with their business needs and timelines

  • Conducting weekly one-on-ones with each account executive on your team

  • Able to quickly gain knowledge of MX’s value propositions and join your sales team visiting customers and potential customers to position and drive the value of our products and services

  • Able to quickly understand the customer decision-making process and influence key decision makers

  • Lead strategic planning sessions for accounts and onsite meetings; monthly, quarterly, and annually

  • Collaborate with Sales Excellence to design and implement programs for rep on-boarding, training, process design and improvement

  • Collaboration with functions throughout the company to ensure your team and the Sales organization hits its overall goals, and important feedback is provided to other functions

  • Assist with planning and delivery of client presentations and product demos

  • Support and drive the Account Executives in closing deals. Shorten the sales cycle and accelerate deal progression.

  • Accurate forecasting for your team of account executives

  • Utilize technology stack to generate reports, manage data points, and make sound decisions based on data

  • Hold each Account Executive accountable to deliver and exceed the committed results

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • 10+ years of sales experience in a B2B environment, with a minimum of 2 years in sales leadership positions

  • A successful track record within a complex sales environment, and comfortable talking to a wide range of decision influencers. The ability to coordinate and secure buy-in from internal stakeholders and motivators

  • A deep hunger to succeed and achieve new milestones

  • Must have prior success calling on company executives in a highly competitive marketplace

  • Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, problem solving, and solution selling skills

  • Solid understanding of the financial industry is a plus

  • Experience and success with multi-year contracts exceeding $1M is a plus

  • The ability to learn and process information quickly

  • A proficiency in the Challenger Sale model

  • Working knowledge of

  • Ability to travel a minimum of 50+% of the time

  • Understanding of channel partnerships and strategic relationships

  • Strong team player with a capacity to inspire others
