Job Description
As an Azure Cloud Engineering Team Lead (L3), you will play a key role in supporting and evolving the firm’s cloud infrastructure, with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and Citrix Cloud platforms. You will be responsible for ensuring the resilience, performance, and security of critical cloud services, while also contributing to the automation, scalability, and modernization of IT operations. This role requires a strong technical foundation, a proactive mindset, and the ability to collaborate across global teams to deliver reliable and efficient cloud-based solutions in a regulated financial environment.
You Will:
- Monitor, diagnose and resolve problems within the Microsoft Azure/O365 environment and Key IT systems to ensure systems are stable and performing efficiently.
- Manage and resolve high-impact incidents under pressure, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Perform day-to-day administration and support of Azure and Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange, Security, Licensing, and Endpoint Management.
- Administer and develop across multiple infrastructure platforms including Azure, O365, AWS, and Citrix, ensuring optimal performance and integration.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, YAML, and Git workflows to support continuous delivery.
- Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep to automate infrastructure provisioning.
- Identify opportunities to automate and streamline IT operations using PowerShell and workflow tools.
- Provide technical mentorship to L0/L2 support staff, fostering knowledge sharing and upskilling within the team.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, including SOPs and project plans, to support operational transparency and compliance.
- Demonstrate flexibility in working hours to support global teams and projects across APAC and North America.
- Exposure to multi-cloud environments with AWS experience desirable, particularly in infrastructure automation and DevOps practices.
Qualifications
You Have (Required):
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365
- Identity & access management (Azure AD, MFA, Conditional Access)
- Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams administration
- Endpoint management (Intune and/or SCCM)
- Microsoft Defender security suite
- Windows server administration (2012–2022) and Windows 10/11 environments
- Group Policy and enterprise device configuration
- Experience supporting cloud-based infrastructure and services
- Backup and recovery solutions (Azure Backup, Veeam or similar)
- Understanding of networking concepts (VPN, Wi-Fi, basic routing)
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Citrix / VDI technologies (including AVD)
- Exposure to AWS or multi-cloud environments
- Infrastructure as Code or automation experience
- Azure DevOps / CI-CD pipelines
- Scripting or automation (PowerShell)
- macOS and mobile device management (Jamf, iOS, Android)
- Enterprise tools (e.g., Jira or similar ticketing systems)
- Experience with networking platforms (e.g., Meraki, Palo Alto)
- System migrations and cloud transformation projects
- Video conferencing / AV technologies
Academic Qualification/Work Experience:
- Bachelor's/Associates degree in computer engineering. Computer science, relevant professional Microsoft, and/or AWS accreditations (AZ-900, AZ-104, SC-300, MS-700, AWS Cloud Practitioner) or relevant years of experience
- Experience leading or mentoring technical teams, including coaching engineers, supporting performance development, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment
- 5 years of experience working within IT systems/Support in a senior/lead capacity with the last few years working with Cloud Technologies.
