Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to provide technical support to dealerships and service centers across Italy.
The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing complex vehicle issues, performing root cause analysis, and supporting technicians in resolving technical concerns. This role requires strong diagnostic expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build productive relationships with dealership personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Support dealerships and workshops with vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting activities.
- Perform root cause analysis on complex technical issues.
- Use diagnostic equipment and software to identify faults and recommend solutions.
- Provide on-site technical assistance and coaching to service technicians.
- Deliver technical guidance and training to dealer network personnel.
- Prepare and maintain technical reports and case documentation.
- Escalate critical issues when necessary and collaborate with internal technical teams.
- Ensure high standards of customer satisfaction and technical service quality.
- Travel regularly to dealerships and service centers across the assigned territory.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Technical Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in vehicle diagnostics, technical support, workshop operations, or field service.
- Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Experience using diagnostic tools, testers, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Ability to analyze technical data and identify root causes.
- Fluent Italian and professional English (B1/B2 minimum).
- Valid driving licence.
- Availability to travel extensively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting dealer networks, workshops, or aftersales operations.
- Previous experience within the automotive industry.
- Technical certifications in diagnostics or vehicle systems.
