Job Description

The Instructional Designer will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high‑impact learning experiences that improve performance, drive capability building, and align with organizational goals. The role includes conducting needs analysis, creating curriculum frameworks, developing learning assets, and integrating technology and analytics to measure learning effectiveness.

The ideal candidate blends instructional design expertise, creativity, learning science, digital learning tools, and AI-driven content development.

 Key Responsibilities:

1. Learning Strategy & Needs Assessment

  • Conduct Learning Needs Analysis (LNA) to identify skill gaps and capability requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business priorities and design targeted learning experiences.
  • Build competency frameworks, role-based journeys, and capability-building roadmaps.
  • Recommend strategic learning interventions aligned with organizational objectives.

2. Instructional Design & Content Development

  • Use ID models such as ADDIE, SAM, and Agile learning design to develop end-to-end training solutions.
  • Develop:
    • Storyboards
    • Participant guides
    • Facilitator guides
    • Microlearning modules
    • Scenario-based modules
    • Gamified learning interventions
  • Create assessments, quizzes, case studies, role plays, and simulations.
  • Ensure content follows adult learning principles, cognitive learning theories, and accessibility guidelines.

3. Digital Learning & Technology Integration

  • Design and publish digital learning courses on Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Use SCORM & xAPI standards for content compatibility and tracking.
  • Apply learning analytics to evaluate performance, content engagement, and behavior change.
  • Optimize content for mobile learning, blended learning, and digital-first consumption.

4. Learning Delivery & Facilitation Support

  • Support the delivery of Instructor-Led Training (ILT) and Virtual ILT (VILT) sessions.
  • Provide facilitators with scripts, guides, and session materials.
  • Ensure training delivery aligns with design intent and engages diverse learner groups.

5. Learning Analytics & Evaluation

  • Develop evaluation frameworks based on Kirkpatrick, Phillips ROI Model, and xAPI data.
  • Track and measure:
    • Learning completion rates
    • Learner engagement
    • Knowledge retention
    • Behavioral impact
    • ROI and business impact
  • Provide data-driven insights to refine content and improve learning effectiveness.

6. AI & Automation in Learning

  • Use Generative AI tools to accelerate content creation.
  • Apply prompt engineering to develop scripts, examples, scenarios, and assessment items.
  • Implement AI-assisted video creation, text-to-speech, and workflow automation.
  • Enhance learning effectiveness through adaptive pathways and personalized learning recommendations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Instructional Design
