Job Description

MSC is seeking a Specialist, Talent Acquisition to serve as both a strategic partner to the business and a driver of recruitment excellence. This role requires strong relationship management capabilities, the ability to influence hiring outcomes through data and market intelligence, and sound judgment to balance priorities across diverse teams and regions.

The Specialist will play a key role in advancing recruitment practices by leveraging technology, analytics, and modern sourcing methodologies to enhance both efficiency and quality of hire. This individual will proactively identify opportunities to optimize processes, build sustainable talent pipelines, and strengthen the organization’s employer brand within key talent markets.

Success in this position requires a proactive, solutions-oriented professional who operates with a high degree of autonomy, brings structure to ambiguity, and balances day-to-day hiring execution with a longer-term, strategic talent lens.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment across Canada (coast to coast - Vancouver to Halifax), including job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer management
  • Build and maintain strong, diverse talent pipelines to support both immediate and future hiring needs
  • Partner with leaders to define hiring requirements using a performance-based approach (timelines, volumes, success profiles)
  • Apply market intelligence, labour trends, and competitor insights to inform hiring strategies
  • Leverage data and recruitment metrics to drive insights, improve outcomes, and support workforce decisions
  • Identify gaps in our current TA process and build procedures, guides, templates to support in consistency, scalability, and effectiveness in the area.
  • Ensure a consistent, high-quality candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle
  • Manage interview processes and stakeholder alignment with a focus on efficiency and quality
  • Maintain accuracy of ATS data and produce regular recruitment reporting for leadership
  • Contribute to employer branding initiatives and ensure alignment with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Work closely with other members of the HR team to ensure strong employee / candidate experience  

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in talent acquisition, logistics / supply chain industry an asset.  
  • Experience supporting recruitment at a national or multi-regional level
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute recruitment strategies aligned to KPIs and hiring targets
  • Strong sourcing and direct talent engagement capabilities
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of talent acquisition best practices – building procedures and standards for scalability.
  • Strong business acumen and stakeholder management skills
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, an asset
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English (written and spoken) is required
