In this role coordinates activities related to production, personnel handling, quality assurance, material requesting and internal customer service in product manufacturing. This includes activities area assigned in the clean room and packaging area

Job Description

  • Reviewing productions orders, maintain production schedules and ensure accuracy of product data including product types, quantities and specifications of products, delivery dates in accordance to planning commitments.
  • Ensuring that production is generated within budget, on time and with customer and MPS defined quality standards.
  • Following production planning, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
  • Ensure that all safety, regulatory, customer requirements are followed and properly documented.
  • Follow all assembly steps in producing the work orders, properly documenting deviations and redlining documents that require corrections or enhancements.
  • Reviews production outputs, operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to reduce down time and prevent operational delays.
  • Trains leads in DBA usage, including printing work schedules, order closing, production input where and when required.
  • Work in the creation of flow diagrams for products moving through the manufacturing floor inside and outside the clean room.
  • Develops or revises production standards, proposed when appropriate improvements or changes to the GMP applied in manufacturing, quality or material handling operations.
  • Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good working order, issue work orders for repairs and request calibrations and validations when needed, certifying that these completed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain the manufacturing area, gowning area, packaging area clean at all times, maintaining the highest hygienic standard. 
  • Handle personnel functions: Such as reports, performance evaluations, day-to-day direction and employee progressive discipline and employee training records.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Minimum of 5 years manufacturing supervisory experience and a medical appliance background highly desirable.
  • Proficient in PC applications including Word, Excel and ERP manufacturing systems software.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication and team building skills.
  • Minimum of AA degree or equivalent working experience.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) helpful but not mandatory.
