Job Description

Position Summary:

Reporting directly to the Regional Head of Infrastructure Operations EMEA & APAC, the Head of Infrastructure Operations - London is responsible for managing Film & TV technology related infrastructure and teams in London.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Communicate the needs and objectives of the business to your department
  • Ensure safeguarding of production systems by prioritizing their availability, maintainability, performance and security
  • Drive, and contribute regularly to, discussions regarding internal process and system improvements to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Ensure effective engagement with internal stakeholders, from strategy definition to solution delivery
  • Manage and lead a team of talented and motivated technical staff
  • Liaise with the Film & TV global business on behalf of local technology departments
  • Liaise with wider Technicolor global technology team to support and implement technology driven initiatives
  • Be the physical and logical information security officer for the London site



Skills and Experience
Technical Knowledge/Skills:

  • University Degree or Equivalent, preferably in Computer Science or other Computing related discipline
  • Proficient in office computer software and programs such as Microsoft Office suite
  • Good understanding of end-to-end Technology requirement and setup for large organization including data centres, servers, workstation etc. with considerable experience with server administration, desktop deployment
  • Strong knowledge of network design and implementation both WAN and LAN
  • Strong knowledge of storage architecture, both on-premise and cloud based
  • People management skills to manage teams of technical support staff
  • Financial management skills for managing and reporting on budgets
  • Commercial acumen and for creating business cases, getting pricing and supplier negotiations

  • 8+ years of experience managing technical operations and development
  • Experience working in a VFX facility
